New parakeets tend to be stressed their first week and eat very little, so give it a couple more days before you worry; if it still won't eat anything after that, try sunflower seeds or millet - those are what most of them like best. Also make sure it has fresh water and that the cage is in a quiet place, because sometimes the stress of the change matters more than what kind of food you're offering.

The thing is, a week is a really short time for a new parakeet, so the stress of the move probably has more to do with it than the food itself. I had one years ago that came home and spent almost two weeks just pecking at things, but then it started eating normally once it felt more comfortable. In the meantime, the important thing is that you see it lowering its head toward the food and trying it, even if it's just a little - that means it knows where it is. If after a few more days it's still not really touching anything, then try sunflower seeds or fresh foods like apple, because some are pickier about certain flavors.
