I had a grey parrot for years and feather loss like that can be several things - stress yeah, but also nutritional deficiencies (greys need a lot of vitamin A, calcium and omega-3, it's not just fruit), mites or even skin problems. The spot with natural light is good, but it's worth taking your bird to an avian veterinarian because constant loss like that isn't normal, even accounting for molting. In the meantime try increasing food variety - dark leafy vegetables, nuts, hard-boiled eggs - and make sure he's getting time out of the cage to move around properly, because confinement and boredom cause stress and that definitely affects the feathers.
