My guinea pig has diarrhea, what should I do?

I've had a female guinea pig for about 8 months and since yesterday she's had yellowish diarrhea. I've only been giving her lettuce and carrots the last few days - could that be it? I'm worried about whether I need to take her to the vet urgently or if it'll pass on its own.

Diarrhea in guinea pigs is never something you should ignore because they dehydrate really quickly and it can get worse fast. Too much lettuce and carrots without other fibers can definitely cause digestive issues, but a yellowish color like that is a sign that something's wrong in the intestinal tract, possibly an infection or bacterial imbalance. I'd take him to the vet as soon as you can - it's not like emergency-room urgent where you need to go in the middle of the night on a Sunday, but letting it go for days is too risky. While you wait for your appointment, give him quality hay, fresh water, and no new fresh foods, okay?
