My internet speed drops a lot when someone watches videos

At my place there are 4 of us with different devices connected to the same router. When someone opens Netflix or YouTube, my connection gets super slow and I can barely load social media. The plan is 100 Mbps. Is there a way to prioritize my connection or configure the router better?

Don't spend money on an expensive "gaming" router hoping that'll fix it, because the bottleneck is the 100 Mbps plan split between 4 people. That said, you can get into your router's settings (usually at 192.168.1.1) and look for QoS (Quality of Service) options to prioritize your device, but honestly with that shared speed, someone's always gonna suffer when there's streaming happening. The most realistic solution is to get a faster plan or negotiate with whoever's watching videos to do it in HD instead of 4K, because 100 Mbps doesn't stretch very far when multiple people are watching at the same time.
