Pay attention to how they treat service workers - if someone's rude to a waiter or bartender that tells you way more than anything they'll say directly to you.
Watch out for people who do all the talking or seem way too interested in your money and job right off the bat.
Also keep an eye on whether they're actually listening when you speak or just waiting for their turn to talk about themselves again.
If someone won't stop talking about their ex or keeps bringing up drama from past relationships, that's a huge one - it shows they're not actually ready to move forward, and you'll end up being the emotional dumping ground while they work through their stuff!
