Should I be buying an electric car right now based on what Australians are doing?

Aussies are apparently going hard on EVs according to new data, and also not traveling overseas as much. Makes you wonder if the EV trend is actually catching on globally or if it's just an Australia thing. Also interesting that people aren't traveling - is that a money thing or something else?

What Australians are doing doesn't really tell you much about whether *you* should buy an EV - that depends on your driving patterns, local charging infrastructure, electricity costs, and whether the upfront price makes sense for your budget. The overseas travel thing is probably just post-pandemic behavior settling back down, not necessarily a sign that people are broke or that the EV trend is fake.
