Should I be worried about road noise and Parkinson's disease?

So there's research coming out saying that spending a lot of time exposed to road traffic noise might actually increase your risk of getting Parkinson's disease. I live near a busy road - is this something I should actually be concerned about? What's the connection here?

The research linking noise exposure to Parkinson's is pretty preliminary and the risk increase seems modest, so living near a busy road isn't something to panic about right now. If it's bothering you though, simple stuff like better insulation, white noise machines, or even just planting some trees between you and the road can help reduce the noise exposure anyway.
