# Built-in phone speakers are honestly not an option if you want to actually listen to music outside. The sound is thin and tinny, and it gets lost even more in the open air. If your guests are sitting in a gazebo or you're lying on the beach by the water, you'll be constantly hunting for your phone, walking over to it, and the volume just maxes out anyway. It's incompatible with relaxing when you just want to chill.

A portable speaker changes everything. Powerful sound fills all the space around you, the bass actually comes through, and the battery lasts 8 to 12 hours depending on the model. You just put it on a table, connect it from your phone via Bluetooth, and suddenly the whole group is listening to something without anyone having to pass the device around. It's especially convenient for a dacha: you can put the speaker on the terrace, then go inside the house, then head out to the garden - the signal works fine from 15 to 20 meters away.

Which one to get depends on how often you'll actually use it and what your budget is. There are cheap options for 2,000 to 3,000 rubles that work fine for a picnic. There are pricier and more powerful ones if you need better sound and something that'll last for years. Either way, a speaker is worth the money if you listen to music at your dacha at all.
