Neural networks are good at analyzing existing data, but predicting the future is a whole different thing. They work based on historical patterns, but the future can fall apart at any moment due to unforeseen factors. For example, no machine learning model would have predicted a pandemic in 2019 or how it would reshape the economy. A neural network just extrapolates the trends that already existed, but life loves throwing surprises.
It's different when you're talking about narrow forecasts in the short term - like predicting a stock price a week out based on market data or temperature over the next few days. Neural networks show better results than classical methods there, but even then mistakes happen. And the further into the future you go, the less reliable any forecasts become, no matter who's making them.
So you can treat long-term neural network predictions as entertainment or a source of ideas, not as the final truth. If you see a forecast saying something specific will happen in 10 years - it's most likely just a plausible scenario out of many possible ones, not a fact. Rely on fundamental logic, your own experience, and common sense instead of fortune-telling through an algorithm.
