Squeaky brake pads on my Kawasaki Ninja 250

Hey, I've got a 2009 Ninja 250 and for a few weeks now when I brake hard, it makes this abnormal squealing noise. The pads aren't worn down to nothing but they're starting to get pretty thin. Do I absolutely have to change them or can I still ride a bit longer? I'm a bit worried about the safety side of things.

Squealing is often a warning signal that the brake pads are starting to wear down, so don't wait until they're completely shot before changing them. Riding with thin pads is risky for your braking distance and can damage the rotors, which is going to cost you way more to fix. On a bike, especially when it comes to braking, safety isn't something to mess with - I'd recommend replacing them now rather than ending up with brakes that don't respond properly when you really need them.
