Swarovski or Zeiss binoculars for sitting?

FI fischer74 DE 🔍 Enthusiast 👁 95 ⚑ Report Hunting

I've been actively hunting for about a year now and I'm thinking about getting a better pair of binoculars. Right now I'm still using some cheap thing from the discount store, but when I'm sitting in a blind during autumn I need something with better light gathering. Which brand would you guys recommend? Are there big differences between the two?

Both brands are top-notch, but Zeiss usually has better light transmission and image sharpness for stand hunting, especially in twilight - and that's just more important during autumn stands than during the day. Swarovski is great too, but often costs more for the same performance. Check out the Zeiss 8x42 or 10x42 depending on how close your hunting grounds are - they're robust, bright enough, and last forever.
