Before you shell out money on a new one, try recording in a smaller, softer space (closet, under a blanket) so the sound doesn't bounce around as much, and hold the mic about 15-20cm from your mouth without blowing directly into it 😅 It also helps a ton to use software like Audacity to EQ afterwards, cutting back the excessive highs that give you that metallic effect. If it still sounds terrible, honestly decent USB mics (like Blue Yeti or similar) don't cost a fortune and the quality difference is huge, but first try these tricks because a lot of the time the problem is the room, not the mic itself.
