I had a decentralized ventilation system (Vaillant) installed about six months ago and lately it's been making this humming noise, especially at night. Is that normal or do I have a defect? It's running fine otherwise and the air quality is okay.
humming is pretty normal with Vaillant units, especially at night when it's quieter around you - you just hear that stuff better then 😅 but if it just started recently even though the system's been running for a while, it could be a bearing starting to wear out or a loose screw. i'd check the manual to see if it's in the normal range, or just give a technician a quick call - with a system that's only a few months old it should still be under warranty and they can tell you in 5 minutes whether everything's okay or not.
