Those 18v kits are solid, but honestly if you're really just doing occasional light stuff the ryobi one-plus system is genuinely good enough and usually cheaper - plus you get the battery ecosystem if you ever grab other tools. The main thing is just don't cheap out on actual battery quality cause that's where cordless drills die, but most mid-range brands have that figured out now.
For occasional stuff like that a basic dewalt or makita 18v kit runs like $100-150 and will last forever, i've had mine for like 5 years just sitting in the garage between projects and it still fires up fine. you don't need anything fancy, just grab whatever's on sale at home depot that has good reviews since you're not using it daily
