The water in my house has been coming out kind of cloudy for a week now, sometimes even with a yellowish tint. I called the water board but they told me it could be an internal problem. Should I check the water tank or is it something with the main pipes?
Don't wait for it to fix itself because it usually gets worse. First thing is to check your water tank: open it up and see if there's sediment, rust, or anything weird inside; if it's dirty, clean it thoroughly or replace it. If the tank is clean but the water is still cloudy, it's probably a problem in the main pipes or the meter connection, so then you'll need to call a plumber or push your water utility to come check from the main line to your house.
