After Bridgerton I jumped into Sarah J. Maas books, like A Court of Thorns and Roses, and they've got the same vibes of really well-developed romance with this fantasy world you just can't put down. Or if you want to stick with historical stuff, Evie Dunmore's books work really well too - less drama than Bridgerton but still super addictive.
Which book in the series did you prefer, or did you just love the overall vibe of Bridgerton?
If it's really about the historical romance with family and society drama, you could check out Julia Quinn (who actually wrote the books) - if you haven't read everything, there's stuff that doesn't really make it to TV. Otherwise, Tessa Dare does historical romance that's genuinely addictive, same goes for Sarah MacLean. It's in the same style, light but with solid character development. If you want something a bit darker or with more tension, Sylvia Moreno-Garcia is cool too, even if it's different.
But honestly it depends what really hooked you - was it the romance, the political intrigue, the Regency era, or just the humor and the dynamics between the characters? Because if it's just "I like hot guys in historical costumes" and "I like to laugh" that's not the same recommendation as if you want more complex plotting or historical fantasy. There's also "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon that's completely in its own league if you want time travel with epic romance, but it's a pretty hefty read.
If it's really the historical romantic atmosphere that hooked you, Julia Quinn's books (the actual Bridgerton novels, not just the series!) are even better than the Netflix version, but don't expect fantasy like ACOTAR - it's lighter and really focused on the couples. For something darker with that Bridgerton-style suspense but in fantasy, Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo absolutely slaps, there's this constant tension and characters that are incredibly well-developed and got me totally hooked!
