Almost all the accessible hot springs on Kamchatka require at least some preparation and caution, even if technically you're allowed to go on your own. The Paratunka springs are close to the villages, but the water temperature is unpredictable there - some spots are literally boiling - so you need to know where to step. The Nalychevo springs are also relatively well-known to tourists, but getting there means going through the forest with bears, and it's better to at least check in with someone local before you go. Basically, you can end up there without a guide, but without information - I wouldn't recommend it.
