Do you want to fly the drone more indoors or outdoors? With your budget, the DJI Mini 2 SE or the newer Mini 4 Pro would be a solid choice if you find them on sale - they're beginner-friendly and have good flight time. Otherwise, manufacturers like Holy Stone or Potensic have decent entry-level models that are cheaper and totally sufficient for your first attempts, even if they don't fly quite as smoothly and stably as DJI. Just watch a couple of YouTube reviews before you decide - that way you'll quickly see how these things perform in practice.

With 150-200€ you're honestly cutting it pretty close with DJI models, even if there's a sale going on. I wouldn't just fixate on DJI - there are definitely alternatives like Holy Stone or Potensic that have solid beginner drones in your budget and don't fly significantly worse. They're not as well-known, but they're totally fine for your first attempts.

What matters is: figure out whether you'd rather fly indoors or outdoors and whether features like GPS and good camera stabilization are important to you. Going with a cheaper drone is also way less stressful if you break something while you're learning - and honestly, the first crashes definitely happen.

Do you prefer flying around indoors or would you rather start outside? That makes a real difference for the budget 🎮

With 150-200€, I'll be honest - the new DJI models often barely fit even when they're on sale - you'd need some luck finding a good deal. But there actually are solid alternatives that aren't any less capable. Holy Stone and Potensic make reliable beginner gear, and Hubsan has some good models in their lineup too. They don't always last as long as DJI devices, but for your first flight attempts they're more than enough. Plus side: you often get extras like spare batteries included without the price going up.

What I'd tell you: check out reviews from actual users (not just the marketing-friendly ones), whether the controls feel okay to you, and how stable the connection is. Saving a few euros and getting two batteries instead is also not a bad idea, since the standard battery drains pretty quick 😄 If you later realize this hobby is really your thing, you can always upgrade to a better drone later - your first one doesn't have to be a DJI flagship.

wolf95 asker Outdoors, like open areas. I'm not really into flying indoors.
