For casual music and calls, honestly the Sony's battery life is a strong point - it easily lasts several days without charging, which is handy when you forget to plug your headset in at night. That said, the Bose might be more comfortable over the long run if you're wearing it for 8 hours straight, but it really depends on your head shape.

Both are solid for remote work, honestly it mostly comes down to your head shape. The Sony is generally lighter and cheaper, so if you have sensitive ears it's not bad, but the Bose stays in place better when you're moving around a lot and the isolation is clearly better. For battery life they're pretty much on par with each other over several days of use. I'd say try them on in a store if you can, because comfort is super personal and it's not worth getting that wrong.

If you do a lot of calls while working from home, it's important to check the mic on each one - Bose generally has better ambient noise reduction for the people you're talking to, so you'll be less annoying when there's noise around you. After that, battery life and comfort are pretty much the same on both, you just gotta try them in-store to see which one doesn't squeeze your temples after four hours of use.

After trying both, comfort really comes down to how they fit your head - the Sony has thinner headbands so it can be less tiring over long periods, whereas the Bose presses more. For all-day remote work, I'd personally lean toward the Sony if you're looking for something you forget you're wearing 😌
