That's actually not as widespread as you might think - most artists still use Spotify as their main platform because there are way more listeners there! Twitch is more for live sessions to interact directly with fans, but when it comes to making money and reaching the masses, Spotify is still the standard.
That's mainly because artists can interact directly with their fans on Twitch and at the same time earn money through donations, subs, and bits - without depending on Spotify's algorithm or platform policies. On Spotify you often only make cents per stream, while Twitch streamers get direct support from their community. Some artists also use Twitch as a testing ground for new songs or to build a more loyal fanbase before they eventually land on the big platforms.
