My son asked for Aspirin for a headache, but I read somewhere that it's dangerous for children. Why exactly is it contraindicated if Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are okay? What's the difference?
When my grandchildren were little, their pediatrician explained to me that Aspirin with viral infections in children can cause Reye's syndrome - a very dangerous complication, so it's simply not recommended for kids under 12. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are safer for a child's body and better studied in pediatrics. It's better to give your son one of these medications and still take him to a doctor to figure out what's causing the headache - it could be something more serious than just tiredness.
