Netflix has actually raised prices multiple times, but it's also possible that you got automatically upgraded to a higher subscription tier - happens pretty often when contracts expire or something changes in your account settings. Check your account settings to see what plan tier you're on right now and compare it to the one you signed up for back then. If you're on a more expensive plan by accident, you can usually switch back without any problem, but sometimes you have to deal with fewer simultaneous streams or lower resolution - is that okay for you or do you usually watch on multiple devices at the same time?

wolf1992 asker I'll check that out, thanks! I usually only use it on one device, so a cheaper plan should be enough.

did you maybe upgrade your subscription or get automatically switched to a higher tier? netflix has raised their prices multiple times over the last few years and depending on which plan you have (standard, premium with 4k) you're paying way more, plus they introduced their cheaper ad-supported options to push old customers into pricier packages. in my 28 years of video editing i've dealt with enough subscription nonsense to know that stuff like this is rarely a mistake, it's usually on purpose.

wolf1992 asker Didn't do that on purpose, but let me check my package. Thanks for the heads up!
