That's orthostatic hypotension - your blood pressure drops for a moment when you stand because gravity pulls blood down to your legs faster than your body can compensate. It usually passes in a few seconds, but does it happen every time you stand or just occasionally? If it's constant, you might be dehydrated, low on iron, or not eating enough, so staying hydrated and getting up more slowly helps. If it's really frequent or comes with chest pain or fainting, worth checking with a doctor since it can sometimes signal something that needs attention.

Nathan13 asker Yeah it's pretty random, maybe once or twice a week. I'll try drinking more water and standing slower, thanks for the info.

Don't jump straight to standing if you've been lying down for a while - your body needs a second to catch up. What actually helped me was sitting on the edge of the bed for like 30 seconds, letting my legs dangle, before fully standing. Sounds silly but it gives your cardiovascular system a gentler transition and prevents that sudden head rush. If it keeps happening even when you're careful, or if you're feeling faint regularly, that's worth checking out since it could point to dehydration, anemia, or something else going on.
