What should I do if I've had a constant headache for two weeks?

I've had headaches for about 15 days now that won't go away even with ibuprofen. I don't have a fever or any other weird symptoms, but it's pretty annoying, especially in the afternoons. Should I go to the doctor or is this something normal?

Don't self-medicate anymore thinking it'll go away on its own - two weeks is quite a long time, and if ibuprofen isn't working for you, that's a sign something else is going on. You should go see a doctor to get checked out, because headaches that persistent can be from stress, vision problems, blood pressure issues, or a bunch of things that need a professional diagnosis. It's better to go and rule things out than to keep suffering through it, especially if it's bothering you every single day!

Have you tried anything else besides ibuprofen, like paracetamol or aspirin? What I'd say is that two weeks is plenty long to let it slide, especially if a regular painkiller isn't working for you - that almost always means it's not just something temporary. It could be stress, neck tension, vision problems, or something else that needs a doctor to check out, but it's not something you should ignore hoping it'll fix itself.

tigre_laura asker I've tried paracetamol but it barely helps. The pain is stronger in the afternoons, yeah.
