Just switched to an M3 MacBook Pro last week and I'm noticing my Docker builds are way slower than they were on my Intel machine. I'm building a Node.js app with a decent amount of dependencies. Is this normal for Apple Silicon or am I missing some optimization?
Apple Silicon Macs often run Docker through Rosetta emulation or virtualization, which can tank performance compared to native Intel builds - especially with Node.js dependency installs that hammer the filesystem! Check if you're building with the right platform flag (`--platform linux/arm64` instead of `amd64`) and make sure Docker Desktop is set to use native ARM support, not emulation, because that difference alone can cut your build time in half or more.
