Why does my Wi-Fi keep disconnecting ever since I changed my router?

I've had the new Orange Livebox 6 for two weeks and it's a pain, it drops at least 5-6 times a day. My phone and laptop lose connection for a few seconds and then it comes back. I've tried moving the router closer and changing the Wi-Fi channel but nothing changes. Do you have any idea what I can do?

It's probably a configuration or firmware issue rather than a hardware problem itself. Two weeks is pretty quick for a problem that's getting worse, so first thing: completely restart the box (unplug the power at the back for 30 seconds). Then check that you've got the latest firmware version by going into settings - that often fixes weird bugs like this one.

If it keeps happening, also look into possible interference - is there anything that could mess things up (microwave, cordless phone, other routers near you)? The 6 uses Wi-Fi 6 so normally it's more stable, but sometimes switching frequencies helps: try switching to the 5GHz band instead of 2.4GHz if you can. And honestly, if it's still going on after that, contact Orange directly - two weeks is within the period where you can get the box replaced if it's really acting up.
