My HP Envy 6420 has been printing all documents at an angle on the paper since yesterday, even though the orientation is correct in the settings. I've already restarted and cleaned the print heads, but nothing helps. Could it be the paper feed?
Before you clean the rollers, I'd check whether the paper itself might not be sitting right in the tray - sometimes it just slides to the side and then the printer pulls it in crooked.
Also important: with skewed printouts, it's worth looking in the advanced printer settings to see if something's messed up with "paper size" or "page size" - that's easy to overlook.
Have you tried completely unplugging the printer and waiting a minute before turning it back on?
The paper feed is pretty much likely the problem. My brother had the same thing - the feed rollers get dirty and then the paper gets pulled in crooked. Have you wiped them down with a damp cloth?
Also, I'd check if you actually put the paper in the tray properly and if the guides are adjusted right - they need to fit snugly against the paper, otherwise it'll slip.
And one more thing: is it printing skewed to the left or right, or does it always go in the same direction?
Skewed printing often points to a mechanical issue, and the other answers already made some good points. But check whether the paper guides in the tray are set correctly - those little plastic parts on the left and right. If they're sitting too loose or positioned wrong, the paper can shift during the feed and everything comes out at an angle.
Also try shutting the printer off completely, wait a minute, and turn it back on. Sometimes a sensor in the feed gets stuck or registers the position wrong. If that doesn't help, the rollers themselves could be worn out - if they're worn down or unevenly abraded, they won't grip the paper evenly anymore. In that case a replacement would be necessary, but I'd try that only after you've sorted out all the other stuff.
