Neural networks and traditional drawing coexist just fine, they just serve different purposes. People who want to develop their skills and create genuinely original work keep drawing - it's a medium with its own energy, there's more control and personal style in it. Neural networks are useful as a tool for quick sketches, references, or when you need an illustration done fast, but artists who are serious about their craft don't give it up because of that.
It all depends on what you're trying to get out of it. AI is great for quick concepts, references, backgrounds - and lots of artists actually use them exactly that way, saving time on the tedious stuff. But if you want to develop your own skills, learn to see form, understand anatomy, feel the material - there's no getting around traditional drawing. So is it destroying it? More like reshaping the market, weeding out real masters from people who just clicked buttons in a generator and called themselves artists.
