You can definitely disable it, though microsoft makes it a bit annoying since they really want you using it lol. the easiest way is to go into settings > system > optional features, then find "windows copilot" and uninstall it from there. that'll remove it entirely instead of just hiding it.

if you want to be extra thorough, you can also disable it through group policy editor (gpedit.msc) by navigating to computer configuration > administrative templates > windows components > windows copilot, then set it to disabled. this is more of a nuclear option though and mostly matters if you're on windows pro or enterprise editions.

one thing to keep in mind - are you trying to get rid of it just from the taskbar, or do you actually want it completely removed from your system? because if it's just the taskbar icon bothering you, you can right-click it and remove it way faster. also depending on your windows build it might try to reinstall itself after major updates, so you might need to re-disable it occasionally. what's your main frustration with it - just the clutter, or does it actually cause performance issues for you?

You can kill it pretty easily. go to settings > system > optional features and search for "windows copilot" then uninstall it. that'll remove it from your taskbar right away. if you dont see it there try searching "copilot" to make sure.

if that doesnt work or you want to be extra thorough, you can also disable it through group policy editor (gpedit.msc) if your on windows pro or higher. search for "copilot" in there and disable the setting. honestly though the optional features method works fine for most people and thats what i'd do first.

one thing to note - if you're on windows home edition you might not have the group policy option, so the optional features uninstall is your best bet. after you remove it you might need to restart but it should stay gone. microsoft pushes updates sometimes that try to sneak it back in so just keep an eye on it.
