Complaint about a phone that turns off by itself after 6 months
My phone keeps turning off by itself several times a day and it's only 6 months old. Can I claim the warranty even though I don't have the box anymore?

The box won't be asked of you, what you actually need is the invoice or proof of purchase to show it's within the warranty period.
I've seen cases where people get scared over nothing and end up paying for repairs that should be covered by warranty, so don't let them give you a hard time at the store if you've got the invoice clear.
If the seller gets difficult, mention that by law they're obligated to back you up during the first year, and they usually change their tune pretty quick.

By law you have the right to claim a manufacturing defect within the first 6 months (in most countries in the region), so don't let them mess with you. If it's turning off on its own for no apparent reason, that's clearly a defect, not normal wear and tear from the user, and the brand has to take responsibility for the replacement or repair.
Random shutdowns at 6 months is clearly a manufacturing defect, so you've got every right to file a claim. What matters is that you can prove the purchase date with your invoice or receipt, and if the seller gives you a hard time, bring the phone to the store anyway because they can often check the IMEI or serial number themselves to confirm it's still under warranty.
They're definitely going to ask for the receipt, but what nobody mentions is that some manufacturers try to blame the software or ask you to do a factory reset before accepting the claim - go in prepared for that, because if they tell you to try it first, technically they have the right to ask you to do it even though it's a waste of time.
