DaVinci Resolve is the better choice for beginners because you can start using it for free and it's not any more complicated to use at first than Premiere Pro - you save yourself the monthly fee and only find out later whether you actually need a professional tool.

I'd recommend trying both for free first - you can download DaVinci Resolve directly, and Premiere Pro gives you the first month free to test it out. After a few days you'll figure out which interface works better for you, since it really comes down to personal preference. For YouTube videos you don't need much at the start anyway - just the basics like cutting, transitions, maybe some color grading - both can handle that no problem. The cost thing only becomes relevant when you have to commit long-term, but by then you'll already know what you need.
