Do RFID wallets actually work?

Modern bank cards have an RFID chip that can theoretically be read from a distance, but in practice it's way less dangerous than people think. RFID wallets do block the signal, so technically they work, but honestly most people don't really need them unless you're paranoid. If you're not carrying your cards around at markets in Thailand or sketchy places like that, you're not at risk without protection.
