Yes, but it depends on the game 😅 Well-designed escape rooms always have logic, even if sometimes it's kind of cryptic or requires you to have found clues in other parts of the scene. The idea is that everything has a reason: a door that opens with a numeric code, a key that's hidden under something, puzzles that play with visual patterns or words. The problem is when the logic is so tangled that you need trial and error instead of reasoning.
Door and key puzzles in digital or online games are another story. Some developers are good and the solution makes sense once you figure it out, but others are pretty weak, honestly. I've seen some where the "logic" is basically guessing, because the puzzle doesn't give enough clues or it's poorly translated, that happens a lot.
The important thing is that if a puzzle has you stuck, it usually means you're missing a clue that's somewhere else in the scene, not that the game is a mess. In real escape rooms there's always someone monitoring, so if you're completely lost, you can ask for help without making a big deal out of it. In digital ones it's trickier 🤷♀️ but most decent ones have Discord or communities where other players share tips.
