Taringa has been pretty secure in technical terms for years, but honestly the platform has lost a lot of activity over the past few years. Today in 2026 it has way less traffic than it used to, so it depends on what you're looking for: if you just wanna browse old content it's probably fine, but if you're expecting an active and moderated community like before, you'd better check out other sites. Basic web security works, but it's kind of a ghost site compared to what it was.
Like they mention above, the platform technically works but it's pretty much dead compared to what it used to be!
