How do I increase the virtual RAM size on Windows?

The thing that works best is increasing the size of your pagefile in system settings - go to Settings > System > About > Advanced system settings > Advanced tab > Virtual Memory. You can also add physical RAM if you really need more power, but honestly the pagefile is the simplest and free solution.
