Cream blush does look patchy at first if you apply too much all at once, that's normal. The trick is to use a really small amount of product (just a tiny dab), dab it first on the back of your hand to warm it up a bit, then apply it in little dots on the apples of your cheeks using your fingers or a fluffy brush that you blend out well. Blending is key - no harsh motions, just delicate work with your fingertips. And honestly I think it's better to start light and build it up in layers rather than trying to dump it all on at once, otherwise you'll end up looking sick yeah.

The real pain with creams is they dry super fast on your skin, so if you wait too long before blending you end up with this rigid stuff that's impossible to work with. Try applying a tiny amount and spreading it out right away with your fingers (not a brush, fingers work way better for creams) using little circular motions toward your temples, before it sets completely. If it's really too intense, you can also dab it a bit with a tissue or apply a translucent powder on top to soften that pasty effect.
