Brake discs don't have a fixed interval like oil changes. It all depends on your riding style, the terrain, and how hard you brake usually. In general, most bikes last between 50,000 and 70,000 km before needing a change, but some discs last much longer if you're careful. What matters is that the minimum thickness is specified in your Yamaha's manual, and if it's already close to that limit, they do need replacement for safety reasons.
That said, your 2023 bike already being worn doesn't seem that strange depending on how many kilometers it has. If you do a lot of city riding with hard, constant braking, the discs wear out faster. Check what the manual says about the minimum allowed thickness and ask the shop to show you exactly how much is left. If they're below that, the replacement is justified. If there's still room and they just tell you they're "worn," then you can ask for a second opinion at another shop before spending money unnecessarily.
