How to grow an organic vegetable garden in a small space?

I have a plot of land around 200m² in the countryside and I wanted to start growing vegetables without using pesticides. My husband thought it would be expensive, but I think we can do something simple even so. I wanted to know where we should start.

With 200m² you've got more than enough space and you won't need to spend a fortune, I promise! Start by planting the easiest stuff that you already eat - lettuce, tomato, zucchini, beans - in really simple beds made with soil and homemade compost (which you can make from kitchen scraps). The best part is that organic turns out way cheaper than using pesticides because you're not buying poison; you just use natural fertilizer, let beneficial insects do the work for you, and reuse seeds. Your husband's gonna be impressed when you start harvesting and realize how much money you're saving!

I've planted some vegetables at home and I can say it starts really simple - you don't even need much money at the beginning. With 200m² you can make raised beds with soil and homemade fertilizer (compost or manure), plant seedlings of lettuce, tomato, carrot and other stuff that grows fast, and learn as you go without any chemicals. The secret is to start small, like with 4 or 5 beds, keep the soil fertile and then it grows as you gain experience and see what works better on your land.

The secret is to start small even - you don't need to use the whole space at once, try just 20 or 30m² to begin with. Keep the rest as backup to expand as you learn. To save money, do composting with kitchen scraps and dry leaves (it's free and really improves the soil), plant seeds instead of seedlings, and reuse wooden crates or old tires as garden beds. Your intuition is right - it ends up being way cheaper than it seems.
