Check if you're using cookware with a flat bottom and ferromagnetic material (cast iron, stainless steel) - induction cooktops shut down if they can't detect proper contact with the pan. If your cookware is fine, it's likely overheating and going into thermal shutdown mode, which usually means either a ventilation issue under the cooktop or a defect, so contact the manufacturer since it's still new.
