The danger is that an AI doesn't know the full picture of your life and can give advice that works in general cases but might harm your specific situation. Plus an AI isn't a replacement for a therapist - it doesn't conduct sessions, ask clarifying questions, or track your progress; it just generates text based on patterns.

An AI works with averaged patterns, but family conflicts are almost always tied to specific little things that the algorithm can't see. I consulted with it about how to react to my partner's criticism and got pretty reasonable advice about empathy and staying calm - but it turned out that in our case the problem wasn't about how we communicated at all. It was that my partner had been holding onto resentment for years, and that needed an honest conversation from scratch, not just practicing a technique. An AI helps as a general brainstorm, but for family issues it's better to first figure things out with someone who's actually in the situation.
