Is it worth hiring a wedding videographer or just going with photos?

I'm organizing my wedding for December and I'm looking at budgets. The photographer costs me around 800 thousand pesos, but the videographer is almost the same price. My friends tell me you watch the video once and then it just sits there, but you always share the photos. Does anyone who's already gotten married have a recommendation for me?
