OLED is mainly better for contrast and really deep blacks because each pixel produces its own light, unlike standard LCD screens. On the flip side, it drains the battery faster, it's more expensive, and there's that risk of burn-in if you leave the same image on screen for too long (though modern phones handle that better now). If you watch a lot of videos or photos, you'll really notice the difference, but if you're just scrolling and messaging, a good LCD does the job too 🤷♀️
Technically it's true that the blacks are deeper, but you can't forget that it really depends on what you're using day-to-day. If you're mostly scrolling through apps with white or really colorful content, you're not gonna really feel the difference. That said, power consumption is definitely a thing - pixels turning completely off is cool for battery life on dark content, but honestly it's not that huge in real life. And then there's the burn-in risk which is pretty real, even if manufacturers have reduced it.
