I'm thinking about getting back into the game after taking a break for a few years, but I'm not sure if there are still people playing or if it's become too pay-to-win. Is it worth spending time and mobile data on it now?
Do you want to play casually or competitively? Pokémon GO still has plenty of active players, especially in bigger cities, and you can get a lot out of it without spending anything - the game doesn't force you to pay to evolve or win battles, it's more just to speed up progress. The data usage is real, but nothing crazy if you're only playing a couple hours a week.
