Planning a 3-week trip and want a portable gaming device. I'm torn between getting a Steam Deck or the Switch OLED since I already have a bunch of Switch games. What's your take on battery life and game library for travel?
What kind of games are you mostly playing on those Switch titles you've got? If you're really attached to your existing library, the Switch OLED makes way more sense for a 3-week trip - you already own the games, battery lasts a solid 5-6 hours depending on what you're playing, and it's lighter to carry around. The Steam Deck would give you access to thousands more games and honestly plays way more demanding stuff, but the battery's only good for maybe 2-3 hours of heavier games, so you'd be hunting for outlets more often, which got annoying when I traveled to visit my sister last year and spent half my time at airport charging stations.
