I've been holding off on getting a Switch because there's been rumors about a new model coming out. It's July 2026 and I'm seeing some announcements. Should I just grab an OLED model now or wait to see what the new version offers?
If there are actual announcements about Switch 2 happening right now in July 2026, I'd probably wait a few weeks to see the specs and release date before dropping money on an OLED. I know the waiting game is frustrating when you just want to play, but you don't want to buy something now only to have a significantly better model come out in a couple months. That said, if the new one's not coming until like next year or the specs aren't that much of an upgrade, then grabbing an OLED now makes total sense - they're solid systems and there's already a huge library of games to work through.
