Strange noise from my bike's clutch

About a week ago my Pulsar NS 200 started making this metallic noise when I pull in the clutch, especially when it's revved up. Is it something serious or can I keep riding the bike like this without any issues? I don't want to blow my paycheck at the shop if it's not urgent.

Is it a "click click" kind of noise or more of a constant metallic squealing? If it's a dry, metallic sound when you touch the clutch, it's probably a worn release bearing, and that's not something you can ignore because it'll get worse fast and your clutch can suddenly seize up. The best thing would be to take it to a mechanic as soon as possible, though you can keep riding the bike short-term if you're careful, but don't wait for it to completely fail on you on the road. If you want to save money, look for an independent shop instead of the dealership, because replacing just the bearing is usually cheaper than a full clutch replacement.

pedro87 asker It's more of a constant metallic squealing, especially when I accelerate. Thanks for the info, I'm going to look for an independent shop.
