To be honest, I don't really believe in omens, and in real estate work the main thing is actually the day of the week and time of day for showing properties, we have our own superstitions there :) But if you're serious - they usually recommend bringing new things during a waxing moon, preferably in the daytime, and it's good if someone close to you meets you at the entrance with kind words. And just logically it's way more convenient to bring furniture or appliances on a weekday with some helpers, not in the middle of the night.
I don't bother with superstitions either, to be honest. After 4 years working as a surveyor, I've seen so many different superstitions from clients that I've pretty much stopped paying attention to them. But here's what I did notice - people really do believe that the day of the week or the moon phase affects everything. About bringing new things into the house, they usually talk about a full moon or waxing moon as good periods, but they avoid the waning moon. They also advise against bringing things in on Wednesday or Friday, though honestly I don't see any logic in that.
If you're taking this seriously, then here's the classic advice - it's better to bring things in during a waxing moon, preferably on a Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday. Some people say you should also put some money next to the new thing, like, for prosperity. Sounds a bit weird, but people do it and apparently they feel more at peace afterwards.
Personally, I bring things into the house whenever it's convenient and whenever I buy them. No moons complicate that process for me. But if you're superstitious - I don't see any harm in sticking to these tips, just for peace of mind, you know.

I'm not really hung up on superstitions either, to be honest. But when you travel a lot (and I drive around Russia pretty often), you notice that people put a lot of stock in little things - like not bringing stuff into the house on a Friday or picking days when the moon is waxing. When I buy something for the house or grab stuff for a road trip, I just look at when I've got the time and opportunity, rather than consulting some calendar. Though maybe that's why I've got good luck when I travel :)
