It's more of a cultural tradition than anything scientific, you know? In Spain it's not as common as in other Latin American countries, but people still do it because well, if it doesn't cost you anything to try! I personally don't think that underwear of one color or another is going to change your luck, but hey if it makes you feel good and more motivated to start the year ahead with your projects and crafts then why not try it? In the end what really matters is the attitude you carry! 😄
That's more of a superstition than anything else, even though it's true that a lot of people do it. I personally have never been one to believe in that stuff, but a couple of years ago my grandmother gave me red boxers for New Year's and well, that year an important work project came through for me, so who knows. The reality is that if you wear red clothes or blue or whatever color, what probably brings you "luck" is your attitude and energy going into the new year, not the color of your clothes.
