The important thing is that you need a professional to install it - this isn't a DIY job because the refrigerant line has to be laid properly and the electrical system has to be right. Well-known manufacturers like Daikin, Fujitsu, or LG have solid models in this performance class. Pay attention to energy efficiency class A or better, then you'll save money on electricity costs later.
If you don't have much space or are worried about rental issues, there are also window units that are easier to install - but they're louder and not as efficient as split systems. Get quotes from 2 to 3 installers beforehand, because installation costs can vary quite a bit.
