Why do so many people still listen to Sido instead of newer rappers?

I just ended up in a discussion with my friends because I still regularly go through Sido's albums from 2006-2010 on Spotify. Most people my age are listening to these new guys now, but it just doesn't do it for me. Is it just me or do you guys know that feeling too?

That's totally normal, good music just doesn't age as fast as you'd think. Same thing with me - some stuff from back then just has a different energy and authenticity that you often miss these days. The newer rappers are sometimes more technically skilled, but that doesn't mean the older tracks are worse. Your friends will get it once they get older themselves and realize they're still listening to their favorite songs from back then.
